Solo traveler looking for unique stay
The hotel had an incredible atmosphere—those rooms were like something out of a dream. The lighting was just perfect, all soft and dimmable, even the bathroom had that heated floor that felt like a little slice of luxury when you walked on it.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but for what you get, it’s acceptable.

Helpful hotel staff made our stay enjoyable.
The room was incredibly cramped and claustrophobic. I had difficulty moving around because the bed took up almost all the space. Additionally, the bathroom door slammed shut, adding to the frustration of an already tight environment.

We loved the spacious penthouse room and the views of the city. The staff was really friendly, and they had free fruit and water at the front, which was perfect for our family outings. The location made it easy to explore Copenhagen with the kids.
My kids wished there were more family-friendly dining options nearby.

Impressive rooftop bar with stunning views of Tivoli.
The room was exceptionally basic and lacked essential amenities like a kettle.

Excellent location near public transport, making it easy to explore the area. The rooftop bar offers nice views of Tivoli, providing a chill spot to relax after a long day.
Rooms are surprisingly small, with limited space to move around, especially when you're trying to manage luggage. The lack of air conditioning turned the second night into a sweat-fest, as the airflow system blew out hot air, leaving only the option to tolerate the warmth or crack a window. I found the room layout awkward, unable to fully utilize the space efficiently, and the fragile hotline between the room and reception added a level of inconvenience when seeking help.

During my stay, I enjoyed the warm and inviting decor throughout the hotel. The rooftop terrace was a fantastic spot to unwind after a day of exploring the city. Although the room was on the smaller side, it was comfortably furnished and met all my needs. The location was ideal, making it easy to walk to many attractions and the train station.

I really enjoyed my stay at Grand Joanne. The rooftop bar offered stunning views of the city, a perfect spot to unwind after a long day. The decor in both the common areas and my room felt warm and inviting. Staff members were extremely attentive and went out of their way to ensure everything went smoothly. My room was well-appointed with a handheld steamer and comfortable bedding, contributing to a great night’s sleep. However, my room was quite small, making it tough to navigate with a suitcase. The bathroom also felt cramped, limiting space when trying to dry off with a towel. Though I loved the atmosphere, the limited size of the room was a bit of a letdown. Breakfast had a decent selection, but I would have appreciated more variety each morning.

The room was super comfy with a queen bed that felt just right. It had a nice layout and was decorated beautifully, giving it a cozy vibe. I really appreciated the little welcome gift for my child, too. No complaints about cleanliness—everything was tidy. Just thought the bathroom could’ve used a bit more space. Otherwise, quite a nice spot to stay!
